Why take Lessons?
Kitesurfing can be a dangerous sport and lessons are essential.
Taking lessons with NI Kitesurfing will teach you the ￼safety aspects of the sport, how the equipment works and what are the safe conditions for kitesurfing. Knowing this will make for a safer experience for you and those around you.
￼Avoid damaging your own kit while you learn as we will provide all kitesurf equipment and cover all repair costs.
Reading manuals, searching the Internet and watching DVDs will not replace the real life practical experience gained under the supervision of our instructors. Our lessons will ￼provide you with the vital knowledge to succeed in the sport.
Our Instructors are IKO and First Aid certified and will ￼provide safe learning conditions and be on hand if anything goes wrong.
Lessons will ￼fast track your learning from months to hours, and is the fastest way to becoming an independent kitesurfer. Our instructors use proven teaching methods that will get you on the water quickly
NI Kitesurfing will ￼provide local knowledge covering beaches, wind direction / strength, local riders / buddies, forums, kit selection and local kitesurf stores.
What Equipment do I need?
All equipment is provided including wetsuits, boots, helmets and buoyancy aids etc. If you do have any equipment, like a wetsuit, feel free to bring it along.
Do bring with you bathing costume for under your wetsuit, a towel for changing, sunscreen, and some drinking water for after your session. Weather depending you may also need a warm weather proof jacket and shoes suitable for the beach.
How are lessons scheduled?
Kitesurfing is wind and tide dependent. NI Kitesurfing issues lesson options via email depending on the forecasts. Once you are signed up to a course, you will start receiving these options and you just email reply to book into a session that suits you.
Do we teach all year round?
Lesson are available all year round as long we we have a suitable forecast.
